Custom Ringtone

To all my peeps out there who does not know how to create custom ringtone, here is the guide. (Is it a guide? LOL)

Use iRinger. Download here. It's for windoze.



Pretty simple, just import any song. Then, cut any part of the song you want to,next, export. This app will automatically export the ringtone to iTunes.

Or, you can use Anyring from cydia, but, I recommended this one. Less hassle.

Tlert : Quick Reply SMS

When I received SMS, it take 2-3 seconds delay in order to open default SMS app. Duhh. Quick solution, I use Tlert + Popup Blocker

Tlert : SMS the way it should be. With less interference on your screen, a more pleasing UI, and LANDSCAPE replies from any app, including the Lock Screen!

Popup Blocker : an application that allows you to control just about every popup that you could get on an iPhone and/or iPod touch. Once installed, you can get to the app in your stock Settings application. Here you have the options to enable/disable the application, Block Away Items, turn on/off Wake On Alert (this turns on your screen when you receive an alert) and set Alerts.



What you need?
1. Intellishared
2. Tlert
3. Popup blocker

Those are cracked apps. Credit to studyguy1.

You can use AutoInstall method like I mention before or for manual installation :

dpkg -i (filename).deb

Replace filename with the file name you downloaded above and WITHOUT "()".

Reboot/Respring.

You NEED Popup blocker in order to block default SMS popup. Once you installed Popup blocker, go to Setting > Popup Blocker, and disable SMS notification.

Sorting by column using awk

Awk is an powerful command language that allows the user to manipulate files containing columns of data and strings. Awk is extremely useful, both for general operation of Unix commands, and for data reduction (e.g. IRAF).

After using copy and paste method (why I dun think about awk before?) to sort my data, I remember in my Fedora days by using, awk,sed,grep etc.

As you can see, I only want the group of numbers which in red line box. How do I do that? Awk.
awk avaiable straight away from your terminal for Unix or gawk for Win.

Example, in your terminal (I'm using cygwin) :

awk '/Z/ { print $5 } [file name] > output.txt

/Z/ -> Find line only contain Z

print $5 -> Print 5th column

[file name] -> input file without []

> -> extract to. In this case, extract to output.txt

Cydia Via USB

I can't access my office wifi network cuz it hidden n have password though. Plus, no laptop to crack it. Nevermind, still I can use my cydia via USB.

Get Cyder, and the password is "www.Sources.co.il" without quote. Download, install and you are ready to go. If u want me to send to your email, pls leave ur email at the comment section.

Tutorial


As you can see, there is a synchronization option, iphone to pc, pc to iphone. Click iphone to pc if you want to copy cydia source from iphone. Cydia cache and AutoInstall folder if for installing purpose. After you download the package, at local cache, click the package, and click either arrow to AutoInstall folder or Cydia cache. I prefer AutoInstall folder.

Create AutoInstall folder :

1. SSH into your iphone.

2. Go to var/root/media/

3. Inside media,create Cydia. Inside Cydia, create AutoInstall. (var/root/media/Cydia/Autoinstall )



This is the list where my cydia source after I synch with iPhone Cydia. To get an update, click the below green icon. Cyder will refresh the source.


As you can see, at the packages section, I got tons of package. You can multiple download. The package who mark with stars are the latest package. Tick the package you want, and click the HDD icon so cyder will download into local cache.

After that, refer to 1st pic on how to install the package. Make sure, after you transfer into AutoInstall folder, please REBOOT and RESPRING so that the package install correctly.


Here is the option for cydia. I tick refresh sources at startup so I can get updated package in Cydia.

Crackapp?

Just a time when I feel a bit bored with iPhone (thinking of Blackberry though), I cross to multiple site trying to search for my happiness. Yeah ,there is a lot of site which with the the title, " 2008 Best App, Top 10 Best App, Most Useful App etc". Those site show us both free and non free app. There is nothing make me happier than I get those non free app.

Guess what? I'm freely fire up my iTunes, access the iTune Store and look up for the Top Paid App. Then, here is the happiness come.

Visit the site that i mention and feel free to download the app. Then, double click the .ipa and it will automatically to added to iTunes library.

U need the Appsync, search in Cydia for you able to sync downloaded app.

Meanwhile, you also can install Installaous, it just do the same as download method as I mention before, but the different is, it will download in the iPhone, and just click to install.

My favourte :

Sygic. The GPS app, which actually use 3G to detect your position. Work so far. The best GPS in iTunes.

WiFiFoFum. Detect wireless network including hidden network. Must have.This app can locate the wifi source.
