Fedora 12 (Constantine) Pyrit

Pyrit implementation allows to create massive databases, pre-computing part of the WPA/WPA2-PSK authentication phase in a space-time-tradeoff. It can generate those same hash based on the network name and passphrases.

Pyrit Benchmark



I'm still working on it for now. As I need to compile CUDA first then work on compilation of pyrit.

I saw a blog where he do WPA crack with pipeing john to the aicrack and it take 7:39:XX. There is very long time. But not so long :P

At another blog, they crack with pyrit which use CUDA to crack and immediately get the password in 180s. Huge different there.

Will update this post once I solve the compilation issue.

Apple Magic Mouse

I want diz mouse. Apple Magic Mouse. REALLY.

Gonna cost RM229 according to Apple store website. Does it worth our money?



Well, there is a forumer from forum.lowyat.net selling this mouse too at RM110. COD at JB.

I do hate wires very much. That's why I have been thinking to get wireless or bluetooth mouse. Wires annoy me. LOL

Instead of buying Apple Magic Mouse, I bought Apple Mighty Mouse. Guess what, it works OOTB with Fedora 12. I'm happy with it although the side button (pressure sensor) doesn't work at all.

I try to map the button, but, it is clearly F12 doesn't detect. IMHO, the buttons only works on Mac OS X

Squid

Squid is a caching proxy for the Web supporting HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and more. It reduces bandwidth and improves response times by caching and reusing frequently-requested web pages. Squid has extensive access controls and makes a great server accelerator.

For squid, my only interest is caching. So I don't need to load every pic ( can be anything ) each time I load specific website. Well, my internet connection is not super fast, so I really depends on Squid. Gonna cache everything though. LOL

KB Mall Collapse, Car fall from the sky :)

Yeah. It's true. One of my fren told me about this news. Luckily, she is okay. Paten. Whoever know her. :P

Been calling my mom, she said, one of the top floor parking was collapse. Another source, there is a car collide with post. I dun know la what post. LOL

She told me, there are casualties. Not sure though. Will update once got any news on this.

iPhone Warranty Claim

I don't think I will post anything related to iPhone until I get my iPhone back! lol

My iPhone encounter wifi issues after update to 3.1. Pain in the ass to establish connection to any wifi. Sigh. I pretty done everything step that I need to do, after googling around like a mad person, none. KOSONG. Still hv problem.

Call Maxis centre inquire about my claim warranty is it valid or not since I bought my iPhone via 3rd party. After two days waiting for respond, they call me. Conclusion : Maxis refuse to claim warranty as I do not have any initial owner authorization. Sien.

A guy in a forum wanna help me. That guy, "P", call several people in Maxis to talk about my case. bla3.

On monday, we went to Sunway Pyramid Maxis centre. After several argument, we manage to claim the warranty. Its not we BTW, it was he manage to claim for me. LOL.

They said my iPhone gonna be ready in 2 - 3 weeks time. I hope its in the time frame lah. If not, gonna miss my iPhone badly. haha.
